Exploits University Students Visit CTN

On Friday 31st May CTN was visited by student from Exploit University  Were the staff and the CEO Director talked about Internet Governance as the following points were explained: 




  1. Internet Governance Frameworks: Understanding the frameworks that govern the internet, such as the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN), the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF), and the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). 

  2. Key Stakeholders: Learning about the different stakeholders in internet governance, including governments, private sector companies, civil society, and international organizations. 

  3. Policy Development: Exploring how policies are developed and implemented at various levels, including national, regional, and global levels. 


4. Cybersecurity and Privacy: Understanding the importance of cybersecurity and privacy in internet governance, including the roles and responsibilities of different stakeholders in protecting online data and infrastructure. 

5. Internet Infrastructure: Learning about the technical infrastructure that supports the internet, including domain name systems (DNS), internet protocol (IP) addresses, and autonomous systems. 


6. Legal and Ethical Issues: Discussing legal and ethical issues related to internet governance, such as censorship, intellectual property rights, and net neutrality. 

7. Future Challenges: Considering future challenges in internet governance, such as the rise of artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things (IoT), and the increasing importance of digital rights. 


By visiting an internet company, students can see how these principles are applied in a real-world context and understand the practical aspects of internet governance. They might also have the opportunity to interact with professionals in the field and gain insights into current trends and challenges.
